Laura celebrates after long studies
Published March 2008
A former pupil of Droitwich Spa High School has completed a five-year day release course at Worcester Law School to qualify as a legal executive.
Twenty-five-year-old Laura Harding works in the expanding commercial property division at the Bromsgrove office of mfg Solicitors but spent five years with Simon Bishop & Partners before the firm was acquired by her current employer in January 2006.
Ms Harding now specialises in commercial property, having started her career in residential conveyancing.
Laura’s qualification gives her greater skill to go alongside the practical experience she has already gained and adds to the expertise of the team.
She said: “I’ve had to forget hobbies and personal activities during my long period of studying.
“I’ve worked hard for this achievement and am thrilled that I can now become a member of the Institute of Legal Executives.
“The challenges presented by commercial property law are interesting and I enjoy getting involved in the work of local investors, developers and their respective projects.”
mfg divisional partner for Commercial Property, Cheryl Leyser said: “Laura thoroughly deserves her success and is a valued and important member of our commercial property team.”
The Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) is the professional body representing over 22,000 members and a leading provider of legal education.
Legal Executives are qualified lawyers who specialise in a particular area of law.
ILEX is recognised as the third branch of the legal profession alongside solicitors and barristers.
