Vanessa has over seven years post qualification experience as a solicitor specialising in commercial property having gained experience at leading national and regional law firms.

Vanessa was a team leader on one of the largest single transaction Large Scale Voluntary Transfers (LSVT) in the UK, dealing with the transfer of over 28,000 properties into a private housing trust, generating a £3+ billion investment into the regeneration of Walsall.

Vanessa deals with a broad cross-section of commercial property work, providing advice on acquisitions & disposals of commercial leases and freeholds, including dealing with licences, assignments,  options , overage and pre-emption agreements.   Her clients include national retail clients and a broad cross-spectrum of local industry and businesses.    Vanessa works closely with and provides support to property litigation, corporate and private client departments.

With a particular interest in the on- going environmental issues she is currently undertaking a LLM Masters degree in Environmental Law and Management. Vanessa views this as an area likely to generate a huge impact on the commercial property and development sector with effective management being a key consideration for commercial clients.                    

Based at the Halesowen office, Vanessa regularly writes in various professional publications providing legal commentaries and updates on the commercial property sector. Vanessa is a former committee member of West Midlands Women in Property and having started out in the region maintains an interest in developments in and around Birmingham. She is a fluent Spanish speaker. She enjoys spending time with her husband and young family.
